Summary of Stainless Steel Pipe Types and Applications

I. Stainless Steel Decorative Tubes

1. Material: Primarily 201 and 304, with smaller quantities of 301 and 316.

2. Uses: Mainly for decorative projects such as staircases, doors, windows, and railings; also used for piping in some products with lower requirements.

3. Features: Bright surface, brushed or matte finish; strict requirements for negative tolerances.

II. Stainless Steel Product Tubes

1. Material: Primarily 201, 304,

and 316. 2. Uses: Bathroom and home furnishings, product piping, fluid pipes, etc.

3. Features: Strict requirements for specifications, surface brightness, and workmanship; may include bending, expansion, and contraction.

III. Stainless Steel Shaped Tubes

Shaped tubes are generally produced in small quantities using a secondary pressing method (except for grooved tubes). Larger quantities can be custom-made. Due to varying specifications, molds may be unavailable, and mold costs may apply.

1. Elliptical Tubes: Regular elliptical tubes, flat elliptical tubes.

2. Grooved Tubes: Round tubes, square tubes, rectangular tubes, elliptical tubes, etc., can all be grooved; generally used for glass mounting in railing frames.

3. Others: Triangular, handrail, arched, fan-shaped, door frame tubes, etc.

IV. Patterned Stainless Steel Tubes

: The emergence of patterned tubes has changed the traditional monotonous appearance of stainless steel tubes, offering a refreshing look. Recently, many tube factories have launched patterned tube projects.

1. Ordinary Embossing: Traditional round tubes are embossed with gourd patterns in sections.

2. European Embossing: Patterns such as geometric shapes, auspicious clouds, and coins are embossed on the surface of the tube. V.

Colored Stainless Steel Tubes

: A layer of color is plated onto the surface of the stainless steel tube; any material and specification can be used. The processing fee is increased based on the square footage of the tube. Previously, coloring was only possible for lengths under four meters; now, gold, rose gold, and black titanium can be plated up to six meters long. Colored tubes require reduced welding and the use of connectors.

VI. Stainless Steel Composite Pipes

1. Stainless Steel Composite Pipes: A couple of years ago, composite pipes with a 304 stainless steel surface layer and a 201 stainless steel inner layer appeared. Now, with the price of 304 stainless steel decreasing, composite pipes have become less common.

2. Carbon Steel Composite Pipes: 201 or 304 stainless steel surface layer, carbon steel inner layer, surface layer thickness less than 1.0 mm. Generally used in highway guardrail projects.

VII. Stainless Steel Industrial Pipes

Industrial pipes also include welded pipes and seamless pipes, mainly used in engineering structures, various pipelines, etc.
